Meet the Team
SökerData's Founder (Elsa) and CTO (Rakia) have accumulated a wealth of education and experience. SökerData was born from Elsa's PhD. She has commercial knowledge from a PRINCE2 certification and participated in accelerators at GCHQ-Wayra, 360Labs and Pitch@Palace. In addition, Rakia is an exceptional AI and database architect, worked on building a digital healthcare platform with the White House for implementing the Affordable Care Act in the US (Obamacare).

She was nicknamed ‘The Science-Entrepreneur’ by Forbes Africa, she is a European Commission Young Leader, and a youth delegate for the Africa-Europe Foundation.
Elsa has been listed as; one of 40 under 40 future black leaders by the British Cultural Archives (BCA), the “Top 50 Most Inspiring, prominent and influential black voices in UK Tech” by TechNation, nominated as “One to Watch” and an ‘Agent of Change’ by Northern Power Women. Elsa received a medal from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (RIP) for exceptional work with the World Health Organisation (WHO) during the biggest Ebola outbreak in Guinea, Africa. Elsa is also an advisory board member at the Science and Industry Museum, University of Salford and a Trustee at Smart Works Greater Manchester charity.’

Rakia was named Powerful Woman Programmer by FemTech in 2016 and 2017. Rakia worked on building a digital healthcare platform with the White House for implementing the Affordable Care Act in the US (Obamacare). Rakia's first development project was in 2002 with the Washington Hospital Center, which moved its 2002 billing system to a fully digital solution and enhanced its medical data input into a 98% accuracy metric. She has been the architect of over 500 custom databases, products, and solutions in her career.
